Review: Megan’s

A fairytale hub in Chelsea.

Where to find them:

571 King’s Rd, Fulham, London SW6 2EB

Fulham Broadway is about a 7minute walk (district line)

What they’re about:

Megan’s in Kings Road is one of the most romantic restaurants I’ve been for for breakfast. Their menu is healthy and focused on home cooking in beautiful surroundings but they have a few interesting dishes such as their break fast flatbreads and health bowls. They have now opened a restaurant in Parsons Green and Balham which is ideal for all you South and West Londoners.

What to order:

  • One of the breakfast flatbreads – which ever take your fancy
  • Courgette and Feta Rosti
  • Megan’s brunch
  • Half Baked Cookie Dough with caramel ice cream

The Verdict:

Setting is perfect, simple but so cute and really sets the tone for the meal. Gemma (www.eatinguplondon.com) had the flatbread and says “it was really tasty, the ingredients worked really well together. It’s not your typical brunch dish however love the Mediterranean influence” she’s so good with words but it did look delicious. I had the rosti and the eggs to start were ready to burst which was perfect and the flavours worked well, the feta was a bit strong for me because I’m a bit hit and miss with feta but if you like it then you will love this dish. The star of the show for me was the half-baked cookie dough though (rhyme not intended), I’m currently really into pistachio so the combination of cookie dough, caramel ice cream and pistachio was so cosy and the textures and temperatures were like a whirlwind in my mouth. I think Megans is a must visit and I am dying to see what the other branches have to offer.
